fEZ,

Not a bad project, and I know the kids won't mind it too much...

What kind of Blades do you use? Size and all.

it looks like you are using a 1/16" Size bit, you may try going smaller so the holes arn't that noticeable.

Nice project all in all thou! Great job.

Hola Handi,
Thanks for the nice comment,
I use bit-end blades, and only a 4mm drill bit can do, to allow the blade's bit through. I could have cut the actual shapes separately (from another piece of plywood), but decided I had to cut on expenses.
Kids are so happy with it, and that makes me happy as well.

Best Wishes,
fEZ.

fEZ,

Does your Blades have a Little Pin going threw the top and bottom?

If they do, here is a Little Trick, to cut down on the Bigger Holes you need to Drill..

Take a Pair of needle nose Pliers, and Pull out the Pin. On the top of the blade, not bottom, Then feed it threw the hole of your work.

Once threw, Take a Stick Pin, and feed it threw the Hole on the top, then stick it back in your Scroll Saw, then pull it out once you have to take it out of the work piece..

Hi Handi,
I do use pin-end blades.

All though your trick is very simple, It may well have taken me ages if not forever, to think of.

Thanks mate, will try it later on today, and let you know it worked well inchallah.

All the best,
fEZ.

fEZ,

You are very welcome. I hope that it works out for you!

It don't take that much pressure to pull out, if you got a versatile Scroll Saw that can use Both Type, I would recommend buying blades from Mikesworkshop.com.

This is where I buy my blades, and they are A lot NICER then any other blade I've used so far. And that's Only Craftsman and Flying Dutchman.
